tsra1983 asked: I run a business that sells marketing services to REALTORS which gets them usable leads. It really works, and is so profitable for our clients, but I need to expand my base. We rely heavily on agents refering to others, and have a sales team. Any ideas other than craigslist. (And we have a no spamming policy).
After trying the marketing section, I realized I should be asking this in the real estate section. If you are an agent, how could we convince you that our system works, we already let potential clients speek to existing ones.

M R asked: I usually print about 1,000 fliers and pay a company about .15 cents per flier to deliver them. I usually get a couple of calls from that. Nothing overwhelming. The other low cost option is Craigslist. It works okay. It’s just flooded with other “price based” cleaning services so it’s hard to stand out as a service leader which costs a little more than the guys that advertise that they’ll clean your whole house for $20 bucks!

Confused about life asked: I am interested in possibly starting a small business related to engineering (not offering engineering services to the public, as that would require an engineering license). I have background in civil, electrical, and computer engineering, and I also have a lot of biology background as well. I am not interested in tutoring other students. I would just like to see if I could compile some ideas, and then decide where to go from here. Thanks!

SSS2001 asked: A little about our town:
We live in a small town that has a grocery store (winn dixie)
a video store, a clothing outlet mall right off the interstate,
maybe 6 convenience stores, an RV park, golf course,
a laundry mat….
Just trying to think of what would be a good small business to start.
Wondering if others are willings to share suggestions???
We thought about an arcade with with a small snack room inside of it also. Sell sodas and snacks at a few picnic tables inside and out.
Thanks!
.

kenbfos asked: Could I start a buisness that give ideas to people on what type of buisness to start, or if they have a idea but do not know what to name that business. Or if they need a logo, a great slogan, or even marketing ideas such as unique packaging ideas, organization etc. I have great ideas all of the time that help people with their business and several business owners have come to me asking me how to make their business better, for logo ideas, slogans. I even had someone ask me to help them start their business. I do not know if there is a job market out there that I could find a job that will let me do these things, or should I create my own business that will let me be a (Idea consultant). Help!

Jeremy-Full Harvest Fundraising asked: I have a letters from Santa business where parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc go on my website and can order a letter to the kid(s) in their life that is personalized to each child from Santa Claus and postmarked from the North Pole. I have the back end of my business completely in order; however I need some free or inexpensive ways to advertise this business. I will be utilizing press releases as I am teaming up with a charity and donating $1 from each of my letters to that charity. This will give me a little more newsworthiness with the press releases. My main target is women. Ad rates in women’s magazines are outrageous. Even my local newspapers and community publications seem to want an arm and leg for even for the smaller ads. I don’t have to focus locally as my service is available nationally in the U.S. I need ideas for online and offline marketing that will not break the bank! I really want to saturate with advertising the five weeks after thanksgiving. HELP!
